State of the Art, Inc. (SOTA) is a pioneer in manufacturing high reliability thick and thin film resistive components for the surface mount and hybrid electronic industries. Based in central Pennsylvania, all of SOTA's products are manufactured in their modern facility.

Founded in 1969, SOTA started as a consulting business specializing in thick film technology seminars before transitioning to manufacturing in 1972. In 1980, SOTA developed the industry-standard nickel barrier to virtually eliminate solder leaching and inter-metallic formation. In 1987, they became the first MIL-PRF-55342 QPL qualified S-level manufacturer, solidifying their reputation for quality and reliability.

As a privately held small business with over 100 employees, SOTA's modern facility boasts 41,500 square feet of floor space and automated production lines capable of efficiently producing large batches of components.
