Infineon Signs Long-Term Green Power Deals in Germany and Spain

Infineon Technologies AG has signed two long-term power purchase agreements to supply its German operations with renewable electricity.
The semiconductor manufacturer will source wind energy from Brandenburg, Germany, through a deal with PNE AG, and solar power from Spain through a separate agreement with Statkraft.

Under the 10-year contract with PNE, Infineon will offtake electricity from the Schlenzer and Kittlitz III wind farms in Brandenburg, which have a combined capacity of 24 megawatts.
Over the life of the agreement, the company expects to receive around 550 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of wind-generated power. The electricity will be supplied to Infineon’s major sites in Dresden, Regensburg, Warstein, and Neubiberg near Munich.
Complementing this, a five-year deal with Statkraft will provide Infineon with approximately 220 GWh of solar power from Spanish solar parks. Both agreements align with Infineon’s plan to operate entirely on green electricity by the end of 2025 and achieve carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030.
“Infineon’s semiconductors play a key role in global decarbonization, powering roughly every other newly installed wind turbine worldwide,” said Elke Reichart, Member of the Management Board and Chief Digital & Sustainability Officer at Infineon. “By securing power through dedicated renewable energy projects, we’re not only advancing the clean energy transition but also moving closer to our own climate goals.”
Both agreements support Infineon’s strategy to operate entirely on renewable electricity by the end of 2025 and achieve CO₂ neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030. By securing long-term renewable energy from Brandenburg and Spain, the company ensures a stable supply while contributing to the expansion of green capacity across Europe.
